Operations
As each air waybill enters the system, CHAMP modules create an electronic
copy that follows the physical shipment and paper documents during their
entire journey, from acceptance to delivery, through warehouses, trucks,
containers and aircraft. These electronic records help you meet your
service commitments. They allow you to optimize resources, minimize
handling costs and streamline deliveries for either hub-and-spoke or
line-haul networks.
Finance
CHAMP's cargo revenue accounting module performs a number of audits
that are essential for maintaining accurate financial records. It examines
each air waybill to be sure it is complete and correct. It rates the
air waybill, prorates the revenue among partners, if there is an agreement,
and provisions the operating costs for each transaction. It converts
the amounts to the host currency and reports them. It also sends the
air waybill data to other modules for additional processing and will
track all subsequent changes or adjustments to the shipment's record.
Communications
With CHAMP's varied communications you can exchange messages with anyone
in the supply chain: agents, shippers, banks, custom authorities, automated
cargo community systems. It uses standard formats including IATA Cargo
IMP and United Nation EDIFACT. and complies with all current ICAO, IATA,
ATA, X.25 and SITA protocols.
Handling
The CHAMP modules provide procedures that make your terminal operations
more efficient. You can have as many explicit locations as necessary
and preview goods in both the import and export warehouses. Even though
these modules give you accurate warehouse control and tighter security,
they still offer the operational flexibility to apply special freight
handling rules required by your individual customers.

Mobile data
capture
Using hand-held units, workers can scan shipment information directly
on the warehouse floor and send it instantly to the system. These units
streamline work on both the land side and air side of the terminal.
Their full inventory of operational functions allows them to display
the instructions and arrival notices that help handlers minimize error.
